Central Australia has a very active outdoor scene for such a small community. The climate the landscape & the Alice Springs setting draws people into the outdoors, there is virtually nowhere in the Alice Springs township where you can't look up to see a watercolour like vista of the surrounding ranges into which you are called to roam. Also the transient nature of the population means there is people coming into town from all corners of the nation & the globe & bringing with them their unique ways of immersing themselves in nature.
